Overview

We are looking for a Sales Consultant that can thrive in a demanding and fast pace environment to sell new vehicles at dealership standards for gross profit, volume and guest satisfaction.  This is a full time position with a very robust commission pay plan.    Our Sales Consultants get to work with an amazing team and by working for Lexus of Stevens Creek, they are surrounded by only the best.

Responsibilities

The day-to-day essential duties include the following:

  • Generate business through daily business traffic and outside sources
  • Manage all sales activities generated from referrals and guest inquiries
  • Explain fully product performance, application, benefits and offers test drives to all prospects
  • Introduces guests to dealership operations, including the service and parts departments and emphasizes the quality and efficiency of the dealerships service operations
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business and contributes to guest satisfaction
  • Stays abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to our guests
  • Writes complete sales orders, process paperwork, explains warranties, provisions, and financing in accordance with established dealership policies and practices
  • Maintains the sales and guest satisfaction objectives set by management
  • Create and maintain excellent relationships with our customers
  • Conduct business in a variety of traditional and non-traditional methods, such as email, telephone, or in person
  • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate encompasses:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year sales experience
  • Knowledge of vehicle leasing principles; basic mathematical concepts (such as add, subtract, divide, multiply, and percentages); equity values and depreciations; and laws that govern retail automotive sales
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales while using good judgement in challenging situation
  • Strong ability to coordinate activities with other employees
  • Good attention to detail, and ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
  • Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid Occupational Sales License and a California Driver’s License and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
