    We are looking for a candidate that can thrive in a demanding and fast paced environment.  The Vehicle Mechanic Technician is responsible for diagnosing and performing mechanical repairs of damaged vehicles from the collision center, and in accordance with factory and company specifications and time standards.


    The Mechanical Technician is also responsible for communicating with the management team and shop estimators at all points of repair.


    This is a full time position with a very robust Pay Plan (Flagging start rate commensurate on experience and Technician level).  Our CRC Mechanics get to work with an amazing team and by working for Longo's Collision Repair Center, they are surrounded by only the best.

    The Essential Duties for the CRC Mechanical Technician include the following:

    • Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy
    • Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repairs as needed and per estimate
    • Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
    • Road test to quality check the work performed as needed and required
    • Communicate requests the parts department to obtain needed parts timely
    • Achieve production objectives set by management
    • Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner
    • Maintain assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner
    • Maintain high ethical standards in all actions
    • Assist all other areas of the CRC, as needed and as manager designates



    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; and this individual should possess the following qualifications:

    • A High School Degree, or equivalent; AA Degree/Mechanical Certification, preferred
    • A minimum of two (2) years automotive repair experience
    • Proficient knowledge of machines and tools, as well as their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
    • Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing the Automotive Repair Industry, such as the disposal of hazardous waste
    • Complete understanding of basic mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and their applications
    • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
    • Ability to diagnose and determine operating errors and deciding what to do about it
    • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, and legal documents
    • Great communication skills and ability to work with others in a professional and productive manner
    • Great attention to detail and must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
    • Must have a valid California Drivers License in good standing
    • Must have the appropriate tools necessary to perform the job
