    Mercedes-Benz of Marin is looking for an experienced Parts Guest Service team member to be a part of "the best or nothing."  This position requires a significant amount of interaction with internal clients, so the ideal candidate will possess  great guest service skills, but also be able to provide technicial support.  If you are interested in joining our team, we are interested in hearing from you.  

     

    The Parts Guest Service Representative is responsible for providing support to our technician team and any 3rd party shops.  Parts Guest Service  team member is also responsible for answering phones, filling orders in a timely manner, and  selling parts to all retail guests over the counter, through the Internet and/ or on the phone. 

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    • Arrive to work on time and ready for the day.
    • Answers phone calls, internet request and provides price quotes, and other information as requested over the phone and by email.
    • Follows-up with guests on special order parts solicited by guest and notifies when they have arrived
    • Pulls purchased parts from stock and follows-up with back ordered parts.
    • Verifies "will call" and "back-order" fillls
    • Assists with replenishing assigned inventory and notifies management of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
    • Handles guests’ complaints with integrity and poise, and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied guests to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
    • Answers, transfers, and provides information to incoming calls following the “Call Rater” script.
    • Files repair orders as directed by service department management.
    • Provides high level of service to internal and external guests.
    • Performs other specific administrative functions as directed by management.
    • Keeps current on new products and product updates.
    • Work with retail vendors to maintain proper stock levels in the retail boutique and with drinks, snacks, etc.
    • Report to parts management any inventory discrepancies or concerns.
    • Assist in all other areas of the parts department when needed.
    • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
    • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
    • Maintains current status on W/P invoices.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possesses

    • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
    • A minimum of one (1) year guest service experience, preferably in an automotive dealership;
    • Knowledge of automotive parts; basic mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages) and application;
    • Ability to pay attention to detail; follow-up with internal and external guests; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehends instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, Internet and in person; and use standard office equipment.
