    Longo Toyota of Prosper is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Internet Manager with a strong customer focus and analytical skills. We’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit to create our Internet department.  The Internet Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring guest retention and profitability by planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the Internet Sales department and measuring the performance of salespeople.  

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    Essential Duties include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

     

    • Do the right thing!

     

    • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all Internet Sales leads.

     

    • Directs and schedules the activities of all sales representatives, ensuring proper staffing at all times.

     

    • Works alongside the General Manager to forecast goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.

     

    • Participates in the preparation of the annual and monthly dealership forecast by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for the Internet department

     

    • Reviews financial reports, commissions’ sheets, and productivity reports daily for the Internet Department.

     

    • Sets sales and gross objectives for Internet department

     

    • Achieves sales and forecasted goals set by the General Manager

     

    • Assist General Manager in all internet sales incentive programs.

     

    • Guides all salespeople in setting their objectives on a short and long-range basis and assists in the development of programs for improvement.

     

    • Prepares special reports, memoranda, and word processing, as needed, for current inventory and products using macro express, excel, word, PowerPoint (all Office), CDK, and Dealer Daily.

     

    • Handles guests concerns that demand management’s attention tactfully, promptly, and with genuine concern for the guest’s problems.

     

    • Makes decisions, along with General Manager, on purchase of all third party leads.

     

    • Monitors the salespeople’s response rate and closing ratios on internet leads.

     

    • Conducts daily and weekly sales training meetings as directed by the General Manager; Provides proper product and training resources for salespeople on a regular and continuous basis.

     

    • Directs and oversees schedules the activities of Internet leads, ensuring proper staffing at all times.

     

    • Ensures the dealership maintains adequate mixture of all makes, models, colors, and accessories to meet guest demands.

     

    • Communicates with salespeople to ensure that dealerships policies and procedures are understood and followed; Ensures proper follow-up in CRM tool e,g, Eleads

     

    • Acts as a subject matter expert on vehicle models, colors, and accessory product knowledge.

     

    • Creates systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meeting and CRM tool.

     

    • Assist in processing salesperson commission sheets and monitors payroll records of Internet department.

     

    • Assists in all other areas of the Sales department and performs other administrative duties, as needed.

     

    • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions. 

     

    • Maintains professional appearance.

     

    Qualifications

     

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:

    §  A high school diploma or equivalent; some college desired;

    §  A minimum of 3 years automotive Sales experience; proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

    §  Minimum 2 years running an Internet Department;

    §  Strong understanding of CRM tool, preferable eLeads

    §  Knowledge of dealership financial statements; basic mathematical concepts (such as add, subtract, divide, multiply, and percentages) and application; automotive finance; equity values and depreciation; and laws that govern retail automotive sales;

    §  Ability to coordinate activities with other employees and to oversee the work of subordinates; interview, hire and develop employees; create and perform corrective actions and performance appraisals; use good judgment in challenging situations, or in an emergency; interview, hire and develop employees; create and perform corrective actions and performance appraisals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; learn and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person; use standard office equipment;

    §  Must have a valid sales driver’s license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.
