    Longo Toyota of Prosper is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented SPINNING Finance Director with a strong customer focus, strong process management and analytical skills. We’re looking for someone that can roll their sleeves up and help in all areas of the Finance department with an entrepreneurial spirit to support our future growth.  The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring guest retention and profitability by planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the Finance department and measuring the performance of the team.  





    Essential Duties include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.


    • Do the right thing!


    • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all Finance & Insurance Managers and entire Finance Department.


    • Responsible for producing additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and aftermarket programs to new and used vehicle guests.


    • Directs and schedules the activities of all F&I Managers ensuring proper staffing at all times.


    • Works alongside Sales Managers to forecast goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.


    • Sets sales and gross objectives for F&I Managers as directed by the General Manager/General Sales Manager.


    • Assists sales person in collecting down payment and all monies in and ensures all monies are collected from receivables and returned checks.


    • Seeks new lending institutions to secure competitive interest rates and finance programs continually.


    • Provides guest with thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended Service Contracts.


    • Provides guests with complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.


    • Submits paperwork to and obtains approval from finance sources on all finance deals in a timely manner.


    • Handles guests concerns that demand management’s attention tactfully, promptly, and with genuine concern for the guest’s problems.


    • Ensures that common guest inconveniences, concerns, and misunderstandings are dealt with fairly and quickly.


    • Communicates with Finance & Insurance Managers to ensure that dealerships policies and procedures are understood and followed.


    • Guides Finance & Insurance Managers in setting their objectives on a short and long-range basis.


    • Assists in development of programs of improvement for those employees who are failing to reach their objectives.


    • Coordinates financial transactions between Salespeople, Sales Managers, guests, and lenders.


    • Works closely with Sales Managers to ensure prompt delivery of every make able deal and reduce guest-waiting time.


    • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with guest, lenders and manufacturer.


    • Verifies insurance and obtains payoffs on trades with open liens.


    • Reviews and corrects all problem deals.


    • Process federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transaction.


    • Follows through with contract discrepancies to ensure payment of loan.


    • Communicates all callbacks to Salespeople and Sales Manager.


    • Checks all paperwork for correct residual, commission, buy rate, title, lien information, taxes and DMV paperwork before forwarding to the business office.
    • Trains Sales people on financial products and leases, when needed.


    • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions. 


    • Maintains professional appearance.




    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:

    • A high school diploma or equivalent; some college desired;
    • A minimum of three (3) years automotive Finance and Insurance experience; proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
    • Experience with Toyota and/or Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is highly desired;
    • Knowledge of dealership financial statements; mathematical concepts (such as adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and their application; automotive finance; vehicle leasing concepts; equity values and depreciation; and laws that govern retail automotive sales;
    • Ability to coordinate activities with other employees and to oversee the work of subordinates; interview, train and develop employees; create and perform corrective actions and performance appraisals; use good judgment in challenging situations; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; pay attention to detail; learn and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retain auto sales; work well with the public; effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person; and use standard office equipment;
    • Must have a valid sales driver’s license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.
