Overview

At Longo Toyota, our Service Drive will see on average 400 -500 guests a day from all over the world! Our team goes above and beyond to exceed our guests’ expectations and treat every guest, like a guest in our own home. This person should have a positive attitude, be adaptable, a team player, and have stellar communication skills. This is a full-time position with opportunity for growth within our Service Department! The Service Cashier is primarily responsible for the proper reconciliation of Repair Orders and conducting guest point of sale transactions as they pay for their vehicle service.

 

The Service Cashier Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $17.50.

 

*This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests at the cashier window as well as those walking through the lobby
  • Collect the total retail charges from the customers in cash, check or credit transaction
  • Make change and issue receipts to guests
  • Reconcile cash drawer daily
  • Answer all guest questions concerning services performed or products purchased or refers them to someone who can
  • Handle guest complaints with respect, integrity, and poise; and when necessary, refers dissatisfied guests to the appropriate individuals for resolution
  • Files Repair Orders as directed by management
  • Performs clerical duties as assigned
  • Always maintain a professional appearance
  • Maintain high ethical standards in all actions

Qualifications

  •  A high school diploma or equivalent
  •  Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts (such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentages)
  •  Detail oriented, and great follow up skills with internal and external guests
  •  Must be able to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions as well as procedure manuals in the English language
  •  Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:

  • Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
  • Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
