We are looking for a Sales Manager that can help lead our Sales team with passion and vision to transform the automotive purchase experience. We believe there is a better way to buy and sell vehicles in the North Texas market. This Sales Manager will be a vital addition to our Management team who understands our business challenge and is looking to support our efforts and successfully educating and coach our team as we achieve record growth year over year.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.  

  • Do the Right Thing!
  • Motivates, hires and trains all Sales Consultants to meet sales goals and deliver on the guest experience. 
  • Ensures guest retention and profitability by planning, organizing, and leading all the activities of the Sales Department
  • Monitors the performance of all sales personnel; successfully coaches and trains team member to victory!
  • Works alongside the General Manager to forecast goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual and monthly dealership forecast by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for the sales department
  • Maintains sales department informed on new vehicle launch dates, model year sell down information and upcoming changes.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
  • Maintains professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individuals should possess:

 

  • A minimum of five (5) year automotive sales experience.
  • Experience successfully leading, training, and/or managing a sales team. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; some college desired. 
  • Knowledge of dealership financial statements; basic mathematical concepts (sucha as add, subtract, divide, multiply, and percentages) and application; automotive finance; equity values and depreciation; and laws that govern retail automotive sales.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; interview, hire and develop employees; create and perform corrective actions and performance appraisals; coordinate activities with other employees and to oversee the work of subordinates; use good judgment in challenging situations; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; learn and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person; use standard office equipment; and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable and safe driving record.

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
