We are looking to bring on a Maintenance and Facilities Technician to join our dealership at our newest location in Prosper, Texas! As a Longo Toyota of Prosper Facilities team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the dealership is in clean and orderly conditions. This is a full-time position, responsible for the day-to-day building maintenance and requires minimal experience. This entry level role has many opportunities to promote, so apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the property clean by sweeping and pressure washing the sidewalk and the surrounding area of the dealerships
  • Washes new & used vehicles using a pressure washer.
  • Ensures trash bins are ready for pick-up by moving them to and from designated location.
  • Picks-up trash and shredding from all remote trash cans through the property.
  • Performs minor landscaping and painting around the facilities.
  • Assists the janitorial staff with cleaning vents, replacing lights and other minor maintenance.
  • Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
  • Moves heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks throughout the dealership, as needed.
  • Ensures all tools are in good working condition.
  • Assist in all other areas of the dealership, as needed.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
  • Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, desired.
  • Previous maintenance experience or related field, desired.
  • Ability to determine causes of operating errors in a facility and deciding what to do about it; operate hand and power tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance and gardening; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:

  • Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
  • Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
