Longo is excited to offer an 8-week paid internship program designed to give current and incoming college students hands-on exposure to multiple areas of our business. We are seeking 4–6 motivated, energetic, and driven individuals to join Team Longo for Summer 2026. The program will run from June 15, 2026, through August 7, 2026.  Our interns will rotate between the different major departments and create projects to reflect observations and experience using many of the media platforms available.

The Internship has a Pay Scale based on the year in school. You must be a college student or high school graduate starting college in the fall.

Wages include Base Hourly Rate of

College/University Completed:

1st year: $18

2nd year: $19

3rd year: $20

In addition to providing a summer job opportunity, our goal is to foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities among our interns. Join us at Longo, the home of the world’s largest dealership, and embark on a journey of growth and learning!

Interns will shadow, observe, and receive hands-on experience rotating between the following departments: 

• Service, 

• Sales 

• Collision Repair Center  

• Parts  

• Community relations 

• As well as an opportunity for an elective week in Marketing, Finance, IT, or Administration. 

• Interns will get exposure to customer interactions, customer service skills, sales techniques, and strategies, as well as access to our shop and vehicle maintenance tasks. 

• Will develop an understanding of automotive business practices, Toyota/Lexus Brand, product goals, workflow, and areas of financial planning. 

• Will have the opportunity to partner and communicate with different levels of management to include directors and HR. 

• Interns will need to participate in a presentation at the culmination of the program showcasing their 8-week journey with Longo.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Must adhere to the assigned schedule designated by each department to include occasional weekends. 

• Adhere to all assigned tasks while in each designated department.  

• Uphold all company policies and procedures. 

• Engage with guests, leading with our Penske Way Principles  

• Rotate through our divisions of responsibility and actively engage with team members as needed.  

• Accepts designated, business-focused project to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship. 

To be considered for this opportunity, the individual interested in interning for us must have/be: 

• A valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.      

• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate college student or a recent high school graduate starting their first year of college. 

• An applied student with a GPA of 3.0 or better  

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written format.  

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. 

• Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multitask.  

• Possess the ability to coordinate activities with other team members; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language and work well with the public. 
• Available to complete all 8 weeks of the program with minimal pre-determined absences.

• Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. 

• Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.  

• Moving oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.  

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.  

• Ascending or descending stairs and ramps.
